Cousins crowns Raiders jerseys pro sports' best
New Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins named his new team's jerseys the finest in professional sports. In a statement on the Raiders' website, Cousins recalled a warm-up moment against the Raiders when his head coach called them the best in pro sports. Cousins agreed, describing them as "really sharp."
Cousins signed a five-year contract with the Raiders reportedly worth $172 million. The veteran joins Las Vegas after stints with other NFL teams, including the Atlanta Falcons. He recounted the exchange during pregame warm-ups while facing the Raiders.
"Best jerseys in pro sports I think," Cousins said. "I remember being in warm-ups once playing the Raiders and our head coach looked at me and said, 'Those have to be the best jerseys that they are in pro sports.' And I said, 'You know what, Coach, I have to agree. Those are really sharp.'"
GQ magazine ranked the 31 best NFL uniforms since 2000 without including the Raiders. The list highlighted Philadelphia Eagles alternate black jerseys, Baltimore Ravens alternate black jerseys and Los Angeles Chargers powder blue home jerseys. The Raiders' silver and black remain an NFL icon.
